Our company hosted "Biotech Patent Conference" on May 12, 2009 in China intellectual property training center under Agriculture Industry Working Group of Quality Brands Protection Committee, State Intellectual Property Office [SIPO] of the People's Republic of China, International Association for the Plant Protection Science and China Society of Plant Protection. The Conference invited Zhang Qingkui, the director of the Pharmacy and Biotech Examination Department of the SIPO, and three examiners and patent lawyers from United States Patent and Trademark Office and European Patent Office, for discussion in terms of practice and current development of Europe, the United State and China in biotech examination. The representatives of Agriculture Industry Working Group of Quality Brands Protection Committee, intellectual property managers in domestic biotech companies and eighteen senior examiners of Pharmacy and Biotech Examination Department of the SIPO took part in a spirited discussion. All participants happily absorbed information from the conference.
