CNIPA Deputy Commissioner Leads Delegation to New Zealand, Australia, and Brunei for Working Visits

Lu Pengqi, Deputy Commissioner of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), recently led a delegation to Brunei to the 15th Meeting of China-ASEAN Heads of Intellectual Property Offices, and also paid working visits to New Zealand and Australia upon invitation.

During the visit to Brunei, Lu attended the 15th Meeting of China-ASEAN Heads of Intellectual Property Offices alongside representatives from the ASEAN Secretariat and heads of ASEAN's IP offices, where they reviewed and approved the China-ASEAN IP cooperation plan for 2024-2025. Lu also held bilateral meetings with the heads of IP offices from Brunei and Singapore and visited the Chinese Embassy in Brunei to discuss IP-related topics.

During his visits to New Zealand and Australia, Lu held talks respectively with both countries' IP offices, engaging in profound discussions on bilateral cooperation, IP protection, utilization and commercialization, and the China-New Zealand Patent Prosecution Highway Pilot Programme, and signed a bilateral cooperation work plan with Australia.
