CNIPA Deputy Commissioner Attended 13th Business of IP Asia Forum
The 13th Business of IP Asia Forum, jointly organized by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), was held in Hong Kong from December 7 to 8. Lu Pengqi, Deputy Commissioner of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), Daren Tang, Director General of the World Intellectual Property Administration (WIPO), Michael Wong Wai-lun, Hong Kong's Deputy Financial Secretary attended the forum and delivered a speech at the opening ceremony respectively.
Lu introduced the latest progress of the Chinese mainland in IP protection, utilization and international cooperation, stressed the support to the development of the HKSAR's IP system, and hoped that the HKSAR would speed up its building of the regional IP trade hub and actively integrate into national development.
Tang noted that IP has become a key driver for economic development. The HKSAR shall capture this opportunity to build an IP trade and innovation hub.
