Ceremonies for the 18th China (Wuxi) International Design Expo & the 24th WIPO-CNIPA Award for Chinese Outstanding Patented Invention & Industrial Design Held in Wuxi
The 18th China (Wuxi) International Design Expo opened in Wuxi on September 9 during which the Golden Award winners were given the 24th WIPO-CNIPA Award for Chinese Outstanding Patented Invention & Industrial Design. Shen Changyu, Commissioner of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), Xu Ying, Vice-governor of Jiangsu Province, Du Xiaogang, Party Secretary of Wuxi City attended the opening ceremony and delivered keynote speeches. Daren Tang, Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) addressed the ceremony via video. Lu Pengqi, CNIPA Deputy Commissioner announced the decision for awarding the 24th WIPO-CNIPA Award for Chinese Outstanding Patented Invention & Industrial Design.
At the opening ceremony, the attending leaders presented medals to 10 Golden Award winners. Executives from Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group Co., Ltd. (XCMG) and Guangdong Xiaopeng Motors Technology Co., Ltd spoke on behalf of the winners. Then the attending leaders announced the official opening of the Expo together.
Under the theme of “Pool the Wisdom to Build the Future”, the Expo established four exhibition sections in industry eco-system, design power, dynamic Jiangsu and creative Wuxi and held two theme forums focusing on “Hague System Introduces Chinese Design to the World” and “IP Promotes High-quality Development of the Design Industry”, bringing fresh experiences of design to the visitors.(Translated from CNIPA Website Chinese Version)
