SAMR Deployed to Enhance the Cross-regional Law Enforcement Against Unfair Competition

On July 26, the Competition Law Enforcement Bureau of State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) held a meeting in Nanchang to study and deploy to investigate the cross-regional cases and further strengthen the work on anti-unfair competition law enforcement. The officials from the competition law enforcement (fair transaction, economic inspection) departments, bureaus and general teams in 26 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) including Beijing, Hebei, Tianjin and Shanxi,etc., attended the meeting.

This May, the SAMR released the Notice of SAMR on Carrying Out the Key Action of Law Enforcement against Unfair Competition (2018 No. 4). Recently, the SAMR received the requests to stop the unfair competition from JZJT, P&G, Shenzhen Ganten, Budweiser, Fotile and Jinmailang,etc. In order to implement the Opinions of SAMR on Carrying Out the Key Action of Law Enforcement, study and deploy to investigate the cross-regional cases, improve the law enforcement and strengthen the anti-unfair competition law enforcement, the competition law enforcement bureau of SAMR decides to hold a work meeting on case-related deployment in Jiangxi, so as to further identify the investigation approach concerning the cross-regional cases after the new Anti-Unfair Competition Law took effect.
