Regulation Measures of National Standards Involving Patents enacted as of January 1, 2014

The Standards Administration of China (SAC) and the State Intellectual Property Office of China (SIPO) jointly issued Regulation Measures of National Standards Involving Patents, which took effect as of January 1, 2014.

The Measures mention that if a mandatory national standard involves a patent, and the patent/patent application owner refuse to license it, the competent authorities may get involved and reach a solution for disposal with the owner.
