Hong is the Domestic Patent Officer, leading domestic patent group of AFD China. He is mainly engaged in the domestic patent prosecution, post-grant proceedings and litigation.  His IP practice covers a wide range of industries, including electronic engineering, electrical engineering, computer technology, software engineering, computer network engineering, wireless communication technology, wireless mobile network, electromechanical control systems, digital technology and wireless technology, electronic and electrical technology, automation engineering, etc.

Hong holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in electronic and electrical engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University. He has received IP trainings at the China Intellectual Property Training Center. Before joining AFD China, he worked as a patent engineering for one year at another IP firm and as a design engineer for nearly 8 years at Beijing Shougang Design Institute and a design company.

For his outstanding career performance, Hong was honored as Excellent Patent Attorney 2019 by the Beijing Patent Attorneys Association. Several patent applications he handled were awarded China Patent Gold Award and Excellence Award. Hong has also been honored as IP Star by Managing IP.
